If he were to void the rest of his buyout, why not?

Here is the position I would put him in....

Maybe some extras added in if he bends over real far...

I get why people like Les. He seems like a fine person whose heart is in the right place. However, what you need in an administrative position is someone who thinks analytically and critically, and knows their own weaknesses and will listen to others and recognize when their advice is correct. Few can do that. I'm sorry, but Les is decidedly not one of them. He does not think analytically, he makes decisions based on his feelings. He does not recognize this , and does not listen to others. He stubbornly stuck to his own ideas until they ended his career.

I don't want him making any decisions of importance for LSU.

However, having him in a "money raising" role could be good. Appear at alumni and TAF events and be his normal, nice, goofy self and try to raise funds.

This post reminds me of guys who break up with a girlfriend and then continue to make a go of it although she has moved on.

Les was an EMPLOYEE of LSU who was terminated.... end of story.
stop all of the Les posts

eh, he could work in a role where his only duties are to hob-knob with boosters and help raise money. That takes nothing more than personal skills, which Les clearly has. I could easily see him having some sort of role like that in the future, much like Fulmer at Tennessee. It may take some time for people to get over the fact he was fired, but Les clearly still has love for the university. His deficiencies as a coach and being stubborn are irrelevant

It just amazes me that time and again fans think because you were a great player then somehow you will be a great coach although the skill sets are entirely different. I had heard that Les wanted to be AD and that is just crazy. What kind of administrative position is he qualified for or shown any aptitude for?

I'm sorry to be blunt but if he couldn't handle clock management on the field then he would really have problems managing a modern office with a huge budget and many employees.

It would just turn out to be Les getting the paycheck and someone else shouldering the work load. Of course that really isn't uncommon these days is it?
