If your team can do it....then do it.....
Really don't think you will be talking like this in two weeks though.
But whatever you do....do Not give us any slack.....if our team is not prepared then pound us. We deserve it if we are not ready for your worst.....we may have only 63 scholarships to your 85.....the weather, humidity, and even the crowd may be in your favor, but play your absolute best game against us. If it doesn't kill us, it will make us better.

And before you say no, he HAS done it to teams before. Like north texas in 2005 when he put flynn in there and he threw 3 TD's as a backup.

Also last year for the opening game with RP throwing td's in the 4th quarter, and with la tech throwing td's in the 4th. 58-10 final score.

Game Expierence with the backup quarterback running the offence is not running up the score!

Keeping the first offence in and throwing for tds is running up the score!

There is not a college coach that is going to send in his backups to just run dive plays. He is going to see how the backups match up against some other teams number 1s. Doing anything else is idiotic!!

How is that running up the score? You're giving your backup QBs valuable game experience, why put them in the game just to hand the ball off every down?

ASU will be better than you think. We will win and win big but it will take all game to get in the 40's.

Not to anyone specifically.

Les will play his reserves if he gets far enough ahead. He will lead by a respectable score, trying not to make LSU seem like bullies. Remember, rankings are subjective, and unless LSU is unbelievably dominant, they will be hurt in the polls for piling it on, especially on a lesser divisions. Look for a 3 to 4 touchdown win.

If you cant stop a 2nd-3rd string offense its not the offenses fault... is it?

He'll probably give all three QB's playing time if the game is lopsided. Its in our best interest to have them all see action before the SEC begins.

I suspect Les views this game as an opportunity, hopefully, to play a lot of players not to make a statement with a blowout.

The line is about 42 points right now

Obviously, Crowton will want to work Hatch as long as he deems it necessary (middle third quarter is my guess) ... Then place Lee in there for about 4 series or so ... Then place Jefferson in there for the last two or so.

My guesstimate on QB production
Hatch = 31 points
Lee = 14
Jefferson = 7

FINAL SCORE ... LSU 52 - 0

Apple State gains 7 first downs all evening, with less than 50 yards rushing & less than 75 yards passing. Shutout!

After Oklahoma St was up 35-14 against Texas at the half and LOST 56-35, my guess is that you will never see Les take his foot off the gas again.

Ding-ding-ding-ding... we have a winner! (beat me to it)

Les has consistently shown that he will allow the backups (MF behind JR & RP behind MF) to air it out late in the games. This year he NEEDS to let these guys get the reps. I'm sure he and the Wiz are fully aware of this and plan to if & when possible.

Also, without the VT beating/drumming/skulldragging/younameit, I don't think we would have come anywhere closer to the crystal last year.
Pour it.. (But, I hope he doesn't over does it...There is a line)
Scoring in the 40s is alright in my books when the opponents are held less than 2 TDs.

You have to define what "running up the score" means? If you consider anything more than kneeling down every play with a quarter or so of football to play "running up the score" then yes..he will run up the score.

You have to develop your 2nd and 3rd stringers...and running dive plays up the middle is not gonna do it. If the opposition's 1st string cant stop the all-around attack of our 2nd and 3rd stringers..then fukk them...they deserve to be scored on...again..and again..and again. I would take a knee with under a couple of minutes to play with a big lead...but other than that..you need to take advantage of giving your younger guys legitimate plays to run.

That being said, I think this is gonna be a tougher game than many expect..although I think we could run the ball every damn play and win comfortably.

Once the game is out of reach, let the backups in and do what they have to do to get better. If that means throw for touchdowns, then do it. If it means run the ball a lot, then do it.

whell steve spurrier did a lot of running up the score by scoring when he essentially could have just ended the game right there. theres a difference between getting late game reps and running up the score, though it never feels good when youre on the short end.

I sure hope so...Michigan set D1 football back years with that loss last year. Now every Joe schmo out there thinks D1AA is as good as BCS football. Hope we beat the piss out of them.
