I have to admit, I thought their offense was impressive...........until it met a real defense. They looked like the best offense I've ever seen in college football and that's saying allot. But when they ran into a SEC defense I was proven wrong.

I agree. LSU may have the advantage in defensive speed, but Oregon is pretty fast too (on offense).
LSU has the better overall athletes, but Oregon's coach is really clever. And, we may have a new offensive system for the quarterbacks to execute.

The Tigahs will prevail! Duck season comes early this year.

um, LSU probably would've really bitchslapped them worse than Auburn did. They couldn't have stopped the power running game on the lines and our db's are much better than Auburn's and would've covered those WR's.
LSU, Bama, and Auburn all would've beat OU the other night. What Bama's d would've done to them would've been child abuse.

It'll be over at the half. No match for the Tigers.

Kelly a good coach and will have 8 months to scheme on misdirections and use speed against us.
Think UGA '04 when they dissected Saban's D for 8 months. Now O has a chance to see what a real D looks like, they will be better prepared. We should beat them though.

I think if frickin' North Carolina can come a pubic hair away from beating us in the opener, that Oregon sure as hell has a good shot.

This could be one of the worst offenses of P&G goggle myopia I have ever read on TD.com. Take the goggles off man, did you see LSU's D play spread offenses this season? Tiger fans really doubt the validity of Oregon in the NC game and believe 3 SEC teams would skull f**k them with ease? Wow.

People seem to forget we let teams stay around. I am surprised so many people plan on taking that team lightly considering they were just in the title game and had a chance. I think LSU is very capable of winning and I think they will but I think, once again, they will play a top SEC team closer than any want to admit or realize.

You are not a supporter of LSU.

Seems to me the opposite question should be asked: will LSU take it out on Oregon?
I believe the answer to that question is: DAMN RIGHT!!!

I think the challenge of playing a hurry up team like A&M will serve to prepare the Tigers for the pace of Oregon's offense. Plus, A&M had a better defense than Oregon and the Tigers thrashed them with the running game. Tigers 30-21.

don't get too cocky guys we played a lot of close games this year and last and oregon definitely isn't going to roll over. hell ole piss put up thirty something points on us.

different style offenses though. Oregon is run based. It is helpful though, they have months to prepare for that anyway.

I disagree.....stats also say otherwise. LINK
eta....we still have GC as well, he doesn't inspire much confidence very often at all.

but they may be in a revenge state of mind
It's back to the dominance of '06 and '07 next year IMO. Both lines will be improved and that's where it all starts. Oregon had best be in a survival state of mind or they'll get beaten soundly. It may even get ugly for them even if they play their best.

First, I'm always confident with LSU when Les has time. We seemingly never lose coming off a bye week or in a bowl game (unless it's being played in a mud pit) with him. So for that reason I'm not too worried about Oregon.
Second, obviously this won't be an issue as he'll be in the NFL, but how quickly do you think PP7 would cramp up playing that fast-paced Oregon offense?
