I’m sick and tired about hearing will wade rumors, it’s basketball, who gives a shite. Since when did LSU start caring about peanuts. Football season is slowly approaching.
A lot of sense you do make. August can't get here soon enough.

Book is full of shite FWIW

No. Just no on your hearsay analysis. A statement against interest must be a statement by that person. So someone else saying that Wade said something against his interest doesn't count. If Wade were on tape saying that, then that tape would be admissible despite the fact that it is a statement made outside of the courtroom because it is a witnesses own statement against his interest.
Also, a statement against interest exception typically only applies when the witness is unavailable. Will Wade is available to testify, the judge simply found that his testimony is irrelevant and therefore inadmissible.

What’s his motive tho to even talk about that?

Testifying about what someone else said is hearsay dude
Posted on 4/30/19 at 10:08 am to tigerpimpbot
He’s been caught on wire tap twice. Makes the 3rd accusation a lot more likely.

You're not going to like this but the answer is, nothing.

He’s done as a D1 coach so probably just trying to take ppl down with him. Who knows. If his story was true, why not take the LSU job and get a raise instead of “going broke” paying AZ recruits?

Hearsay is inadmissible. Obviously, it was admitted
It was admitted because what he said about Wade wasn’t being admitted for the truth of whether or not Wade did, in fact, make the offer. What was admitted was Richardson’s statement. What Wade may or may not have said to Rivhardson wasn’t the issue before the Court. What Richardson himself made was.
quote:
As to Wade this would be considered an admission against interest, would be fully admissible in a court of law and could be considered by a judge or jury in determining what Wade did.
If Wade were a party to the case, this would apply, but he is not

I did not realize the NCAA applied a presumption of innocence. I did not realize they needed proof beyond a reasonable doubt. I did not realize they were bound by rules of evidence.
The NCAA’s burden, per their bylaws, is very similar to clear and convincing evidence in a court of law

Would be a weird thing to lie about imo.

In my very simple mind, someone is out to get WW for some reason.

Wild day in federal court. Ex Arizona assistant Book Richardson, on recorded tape, basically says despite making nearly $250,000 a year he was “broke” from using so much of own money to pay recruits. Hyperbole, sure, but still.
Reliable witness is reliable

Yeah.
No. The statements by Wade in a proceeding against Wade (or LSU) are not hearsay at all under Art. 801 D.

You’ve played your annoying contrarian schtick so much that you’re now just making shite up and being a douche
I’m not avoiding the elephant in the room, but what has Wade been caught with?
Posted on 4/30/19 at 10:24 am to tigerpimpbot
Again what’s his motive to even bringing Wade up
Posted on 4/30/19 at 10:25 am to Lester Earl
I don't think we will never know since Book isn't subject to cross examination.
