Free parking, air conditioning, not a chance of rain and people are still upset. When there are that many fans it is unreasonable to think that you will get every player's signature.

-------------------------------------------------

Free parking, hot sun and didn't rain last year at all. I didn't complain one time. Last year was fine with me. I don't mind a little heat. My 12 year old daughter didn't mind the heat. This year she was bumed out because it felt like all we did was stand in line. We never get every players signature, but at least we were able to be more selective and get our favorite players. This year we missed out on a lot of guys we would normally get. Maybe you don't have a favorite player and thats fine, but for some of us it just wasn't the same.

I do agree that it was probably a better system with Each individual player having his own line.

I do, however, see why they changed that. Think about the true freshman that has to go sit out there for two hours and no one comes up to get his autograph ... this is supposed to be a team sport, and that kind of a system is emphasizing the individual. Don't get me wrong, I liked the old way better with individual lines, but I understand the reasoning for changing it.

Not to mention having only 8 lines is a lot less of a cluster fart than having over 100 lines.

I always get every freshmens signature. This year I got 7 out of the 26. I got less in this system. Sorry, but thats not better. I normally get the 5 to 6 autographs from the popular guys then spend the rest of the time getting the freshmen and who ever else had the shortest lines. Always worked out great for me and my daughter.

I got there around 1:45. My son and I got both sets of d-lineman and my wife and daughter got the quarterbacks. Tyson Jackson took a picture w/my boy and I found all of the players to be very patient and friendly. Last year was better, but overall I think it's a good thing that LSU does. Thought the turnout was excellent.

I never complained about any of the players. I never complained that LSU isn't trying. In fact, I had hoped that the indoor fan day might work. I just wanted to get some conversation started about fan day, and see what kind of a day people had.

I do think that the individual lines make it easier to find players. Grouping all of the players into about 10 groups made the lines for every player very long. I was by the WR line (numbers 1-30) and people couldn't even tell where the line ended and others were getting frustrated with all of the skipping. That's when I decided that it wasn't worth the wait today.

I have been to 2 Fan days. Saban's first year when there wasn't a huge crowd and was able to sprint to the front of the Saban line. Got him to autograph a football to my friends son who was just born earlier
that year(talk about a grown man cry). Then Miles first year and had my 4 year old daughter with be and the crowd was huge, weather HOT,lines long. My little girl was melting so went see Mike and some kind of toys for big boys thing in the P-MAC.

Think fan day was bad planning, the worst and most atrocious planning by LSU came during BCS student ticket handouts. It was awful. All of us were jammed together for 5 hours while cops drove their cars through the line to create a barricade. It was an awful experience. They need to give the tickets out sooner than the day of an event especially a championship game.

I went to fan day and it wasn't even close to the ticket distribution debacle.

This one was much better than last year, I think this setup was much better not to mention air conditioning. I have a full size helment that hardly has any more room, we got through 5 lines, last year we did not come close to that.

Worst I've been to, too. I got the purple lady cups and a schedule poster, bought myself a Lemonade but we then Left once we notice we weren't getting any where I was very disappointed.
I for one didn't mind fetching for autographs on the football field on a hot sunny day. It was much easier and better organized.

I can't believe people are bitching about a FREE event, which is unheard of at LSU.

I think one of two things needs to happen, either have a "kids only" day or time slot, that the kids would have priority, or this is one thing I actually would not mind paying a fee for.

my five year old had a good time, but even arriving at 1245, we only got through the receivers line with holliday, lafell and byrd. It would have been nice to let him meet some more players.

Youre like the 5th person Ive heard say this today when someone says they got plenty of autographs...

I was parked at 1:35 and ended up getting 40-45 signatures! I dont understand what yall think is going to happen...its going to take some patience to wait in line with all the people there! Just spend the time in line then go to the next one, and so on.

Like I said, hopefully they can tweak or correct problems like these in the near future. You would think as large of a fan base that LSU possesses that they would plan better.

This is not surprising, knowing the recent history of the AD. There appear to be too many employees that don't seem to be very good "decision makers" and there are too many ex-football players that were given their jobs based on factors other than being "qualified." They don't seem to be very competent at their jobs.

Complain to Alleva. (athletics@lsu.edu) The LSU AD has chronic "planning" problems. Maybe after JA settles in and see what he's got to work with, he'll make some changes.........

Come on dude don't you know the 30+ year old nerds with jerseys with their name on the back should get priority over kids. What is wrong with you???
