Colt David is money what planet are you on? Is he not LSUs all time leading scorer?

Pass is called over the middle, (play action I think)
actually it was 5 wide, so they knew we were throwing...

Why call that play out of the box?
... because surely no one on UGA would think that we'd be throwing to Lafell, who we'd snuck down into the slot

colt david should be demanded to return his scholarship money.

D. 2010 vs. Tennessee. Lee leads a great, potential game winning drive down the field. With 30 seconds left inside the 5 yard line - Crowton calls for a massive substitution, changing WRs, QBs, and TEs besides just leaving the same players in. Mass confusion leads to a blown play, thank god T-Bob Hebert snapped the ball.
This has to be the most pissed off I have ever been watching an LSU game. I couldn't see straight I was so mad. Thankfully we got that play because if not I'd still be losing sleep over this.

But we all know it was Miles' overruling of Crowton's plays... I dont think we'll ever know what Gary had in stored for LSU becuase he was never given the reigns to do what he wanted, he was always having to bend and conform his offense to what Coach Miles wanted it to be and they were opposite. Les wants a pro style, B10 power running style offense and Gary wanted a spread em out style offense with some option built in...they didn't mesh at all, top it all off with the incompetence of JJ and the 2008 version of General Lee and the sum of our parts was some bad bad offenses
where was this said?
if anything Les' persistence to have a run game kept us from losing more games... if it was up to crowton we would have dropped back all game and dinked and dunked with an inept QB who had a horrible wind up and usually put balls below or above a receiver.

he's the leading scorer because he kicked PATs for 4 straight years.
i can think of a couple off the top of my head, FLA 07, missed 2 fgs. 07/08 BAMA, missed a couple big ones in that game.
oh wait? i'm not allowed to pick a few kicks from colt's career that he missed and rip him? only you guys can do that on gary? got you.
once again, misunderstood the rant.

That was a first for me. I have never been so angry after a win as I was that game. I'm still pissed at the stupidity of that clusterfrick. It's not like it was the first time for him to pull such nonsense and fail. It's because he kept pulling such nonsense. Thank God Hebert hiked and Tennessee had too many on the field.

I mean Jesus Christ, FG kickers aren't perfect. Even Morten Andersen's % was in the 70's.

Yeah, I felt the same way. Was happy but I still had that "WTF just happened" feeling. And of course it wasn't the first time something wild happend and definitely won't be the last.

Colt David Stats
SEASON FGM FGA PCT XPM XPA PTS
2005 4 5 80.0 45 46 57
2006 8 13 61.5 50 51 74
2007 26 33 78.8 63 63 141
2008 16 21 76.2 43 44 91
I'd say that's FAR from a "choke artist".

I'll come out if left field with this one... 2007 NC year I forget who we are playing but it's 4th and 1 and he calls a quick screen pass behind the line of scrimmage near the sideline to Keiland who had to turn himself around to catch it and fight his way for the yard and a half to get the first... Even tho it worked I was like WTF was that?!

Nowhere in your rambling do you come anywhere close to a coherent thought. I awa......well yall know how the rest goes.

No. That play worked once. Lee was 13-34 vs. Bama that day. At least throw a short pass.
This is the kind of stuff you see written and find out people have never played a down before. I'm sure that was the only receiver in the pattern. Lee made a bad read. It's not like Gary said, "ok, here's the play but throw it to the corner route."

We've seen that play too many times and so many times we didn't pick up the first down. Why in the hell throw the ball to someone that is behind the line of scrimmage when you have 1 or 2 yards to pick up first down?!?! It was a signature play of Crowton's.

I've got to tell you, when LSU hired Crowton I came on an LSU board (don't remember which one) and asked WHY they hired a guy we were trying to get rid of? I mean it was likely he'd have been fired within a year at Oregon.
Some LSU fans at that time pointed out to me that the reason Crowton had problems at Oregon was because we didn't have the NFL talent to run his offense and that he'd be great at LSU once he got a chance to coach some talent.
