re: Would USCw make a run at CEO?

He was furious at the way USC administrators treated him while completing the season and the way Kiffen was fired, literally on the airport runway. It's disgusting how ranters here hate on him at every opportunity. For those that know him, he is known for his loyalty, and his players, at every school he's coached, feel the same way about him. To quote the current LSU QB : "I'd run through a wall for Coach O".

Despite what some of you think USC can’t compete with LSU athletics from a money standpoint. The SEC TV money puts us in another league. USC facilities are dogshit, they don’t pay assistants and their AD is Lynn Swann.

Stop with this nonsense
Sorry MOT. My post was pure nonsense. There needs to be a sarcasm font on here.

He’s on record as saying at least two other jobs were his dream job
I know. Every damn place he's been or interviewed at has been his "dream job."
quote:
he began angling for a raise/extension before the second year of his 5 year contract with LSU was over.
He's no different than any other coach. He says he loves LSU because that's where he's at. Someone offers him a better contract, he'll be saying LSU who?
quote:
He’s like any other coaching lifer and just happens to be from down the bayou.
Him being from the bayou is the only reason some of the good folks on the rant pull for the guy.

Right now his salary vis a vis his position and accomplishments here at LSU are a bit of a slap in the face. He should be monetarily compensated the way an LSU HC is supposed to be compensated if we intend on keeping him here
He’s making 300k less than the coach he replaced who had actually put hardware in the case.

And would he listen to them?
They wont but he will leave LSU in a heartbeat for a better contract. I am not hating him for it. The man has never shown loyalty to any school before.

In all honesty, those are pretty sweet gigs if you can get them.

Until he wins something significant, no one is going to offer him more than he makes now. If he wins something significant (championship) then he will get a hearty raise from LSU anyway and no one will pay him more than that.

"Never showed loyalty to any school before"? Give examples that prove your opinion. It is actually just the opposite, again according to those who know him....not haters opinions. His one obvious loyalty has been to Kiffen, not money.

Coach O would never leave LSU unless something catastrophic happens, and with the new admin I don’t see that happening

That may be one of the funniest things I have read in a long time. His head coaches have been proven to be almost as safe as Clinton associates. He had no loyalty to Kiffin or Les.

Why the frick would he want to go there
Posted on 9/2/19 at 8:50 pm to Jim Rockford

Posted on 9/2/19 at 8:50 pm to Jim Rockford
Dude is leaving here only By force or death

Nobody is bashing O. The season just began, and we beat up on a cupcake. Let's see if O can accomplish something - i.e. playoff berth, SEC West - before you start this tired crap again. The hell's the matter with you!?

Too Funny!!

He absolutely deserved the bashing that he got. He made mistakes and was bashed for it. So what!? Now he may have turned a corner; we shall see. I'll bash him when he asses up, and I'll praise him when he excels. So what!?
