'07 WAS just different. Our all-time highs were that season, Va Tech, Florida, Auburn, the NC game.
That makes the losses to mediocre Kentucky and Arkansas teams hard to explain.

04 and 07. I was in TGBFTL and remember being in the Swamp for 04. Their fans were going crazy the whole time, because UF was winning for most of it. But I distinctly remember how they showed the team stats on the giant scoreboard, and LSU was dominating in every category. I just knew we were gonna win the whole time, and we pulled it out in the end.
07 because, well, 07. That was just freaking amazing start to finish.

I can't decide between 1997 and 2007

Can’t argue with any one of these but what stood out to me in 2019, after beating a damn good UF team, was I finally realized we could very well win it all. And we did.

1997, and it's not even close. I was one of many storming the field after that win! The goal post falling is a memory etched in my brain for eternity!

1982 - beats #4 ranked Florida on the road, 24-17.
The world is introduced to greshman Dalton Hilliard, who accounts for 207 yrds of total offense and scores 3 touchdowns. It is LSU's win over the highest ranked opponemt in 16 years.

1. '97 - all time LSU moment
2. '07 - incredible game. these two had to be top 2 for sure
3. '15 - really good ball game. both teams went in undefeated, Les pulled another fake field goal with the Domingue TD. tiger stadium was awesome. had some parallels to 2019. I know we sucked down the stretch but at the time I remember feeling really good about that team
4. '20 - who the hell throws a shoe?

It's amazing that both Dalton Hilliard and Garry James had their best seasons, by far as Tigers in 1982, their freshman year. They both continued at LSU through 1985, and played well throughout, but not to the level as their freshman year. That '82 season was special, even in spite of the two losses.

2002 because I was there in Gainesville and we had not beaten them in over a decade. I’m pretty sure the “Fire Ron Zook” went up the next week.
