It’s not a race. In the long run shouldn’t matter

Thats true. Unfortunately, I'm working on learning, and building my short term trading process/strategy. This is why I bought in on this one. I know long term it should be fine, but at some point I will look at it as a fail from what my actual goal was.

If you aren't prepared for a 50% move in either direction this not the play for you.

It’s probably discussed in the thread already, but I don’t feel like reading - why does MSTR move so much more than their underlying BTC holdings do?

The NAV premium debate is pretty hot right now and I don't really have an opinion on it. I'm just riding the wave.

This is what Saylor says.

The nav is what determines saylors moves. If mstr is trading at a higher premium he will do ATM equity offerings(Likely what he did today) and buy btc with the money. If the nav gets too low he does convertible bond offerings and uses the money to buy btc. Today was just buying btc for 1/3 of the price using ATMs. Hence the btc rip and mstr tank. I’m expecting another announcement soon buying another 1-2b btc. This stock will fly even higher on next btc rip up since he’s will be sitting on 25-50k more btc. Lot of big events on the horizon. Possible qqq inclusion late this month, spy next year. FASB accounting rule change q1 earnings call, which should show their massive btc earnings.

Hopefully people are arbitraging the shite out of it then.

I’d be a little surprised if S&P Global included them given their size is so volatile.

If you’re buying spot btc or the etfs you could try, if you’re in mstr he is arbitraging for you. The beautiful thing is he is capturing the downside and still giving us 1.5x the upside. He isn’t letting the premium get out of hand (just yet). Once his bags are packed he will let it fly

If you want a good entry point, days like today where mstr down and btc up and that xNAV coming closer to 1(currently at 2.7) is a good time to buy.

Seems like it would be much more efficient to actively arbitrage MSTR and a spot ETF or something.

I’ve noticed in all these bitcoin threads that you are very unsure and comment a lot about price going down. I don’t think Bitcoin, or MSTR for that matter, is for you. These investment are a buy and don’t do shite with it. Don’t pay any attention to the 10%, 20%, and 30% dips. They will happen, make your brain understand that when you buy at $350, it most definitely will go to $300 at some point. Over time, it will outperform but it’s volatile to get there

Saylor bought 52k coins last week. He’s cutting so much slack out of the market.

He could single-handedly shift the adoption curve ahead of where it would be otherwise. I’m not as sure about cycles, price models etc anymore.

MSTR just keeps ripping.

There is no way other companies are not watching what is happening and start doing the same.

I don't understand why they haven't already.

If and when they start, MSTR could be a 50x from here.

If they don't follow, i still think this story ends poorly (and i own multiple 6 figures of MSTR)

So you long on MSTR? And have over 100K shares of it?
