Agreed, which is why I sold a call at 990 strike with a February expiration.

That’s where I would start trimming on the way up anyway.

Old news, they already have the new board set up. Saylor is getting old. The current team he has in place is tier 1 and will continue to run the company just fine. He’s already said he plans to let his shares dilute and they still have plenty of room and control of the company. Source:q3 earnings call in October

If you study the thesis it’s mind blowing. I mean it honestly could 10x from here.

That said I pulled out yesterday because it’s such a popular trade now.

Nice, what kind of premium did you haul in on that one?

Its capital that is compounding and then compounding again inside the original compounding investment. Until he has competition, this will continue. Even then, MSTR will do ok just not run amok like it’s doing now.

What would competition even look like?

To a newby, it seems like he’s so far out front of any competition that we’re safe against that crushing us with any speed.

As in, it’ll benefit us if some try(bc Bitcoin becomes stronger), but there won’t be big enough fish to remove MSTR’s value when people start thinking it is an easily copyable company…?

I’m reading through analyst reports of MSTR and these tools have the audacity to place a price target of any kind on this thing. That's pure hubris. You can’t tell me what the value should be today, much less at some point down the road.

price targets.

Why shouldn't the price target just be: Bitcoin spot price X how much bitcoin MSTR owns?

Because the denominator (bitcoin held) is compounding. He’s essentially buying bitcoin for 1/3 of what it costs the rest of the world.

I think there is a case to be made that MSTR is going to change the adoption curve drastically.
