I've seen referenced but no idea whst it is. Something supposedly really good though I assume?

Can you pull the same table for Benlysta?

Need to see more "preferred".

How often do these insurance formularies re-tier these drugs?
Kaiser Permanente for example has both Lupkynis and Benlysta as Tier 3 "non-preferred as requiring prior approval"
this one basically the same -- Tier 6 - non preferred, no generic, requiring approval

Prior Authorizations are done every single day in every single pharmacy in the country. They aren't a big deal at all.

Understood.. is the 'new-ness' of Lupkynis and Benlysta what is keeping them from being preferred brands/drugs on most of these formularies?

Cost is what drives this...cost of the drug itself and the amount of money the insurer can save by giving this vs the standard of care (or Benlysta).
Of course, at the HCP level if the reps can get doctors on board they can still get scripts written, but if it becomes a pain for them on the back end when it's getting filled/covered, they won't be on board too long.

They're not a big deal but I think we're all hoping for as frictionless a drug access process as possible

I was always under the assumption that there is no standard of care -- none that works worth a shite anyway

I haven't researched the condition or treatment options all that much so I can't say, but if that's true it's good news for us investors.

in that situation does this become an arms race with Benlysta to try and be first to get Preferred status with insurers?

I think it would, but its probably easier to win a race to preferred vs displace a current mainstay of treatment.

I would agree with that. Take the depression category for example...tons of generics on the market that perform really well, so it's really really hard for a new branded entrant to grab a significant share of the market.

More worried about this tiny Canadian upstart having to duke it out with GsK with a PR fight
also wish Bernie Sanders would shut the hell up about his drug pricing legislation
