It’s crazy that this guy only wants 5% a year when you have to make 5% a day to keep up with inflation

Hyperbole I know but it’s outrageously wrong. Inflation is literally @ 4-7% per year.
No one should extend themselves to attain unreasonably risky returns.

Pretty crazy how this thread shows that what looks like a simple question isn't.
I'm about to finish the book "The Psychology of Money" and it tries to explain why that is. I don't think I'm going to change anything that I'm doing after reading it. But it certainly explains why some things are the way they are and gives some nice history lessons on investing. I highly recommend it.
