The book is by someone who loved Nazis and Hitler and wanted Jews killed. I'm not sure how anyone in our government in their right mind thought this was a good idea. Unless they just want to go ahead and put their fascism front and center to see.

The author, William Gayley Simpson, was an avowed white nationalist and well documented antisemite.

You're not. At most you're paying fines and penalties for misdeeds following the Civil War. In return, you get rice, soybeans, corn for your bullshite gas, oil and gas, timber, beef, chicken, Mississippi River access to the Gulf, cotton, bromine, and much more.
