BTW, how much statistics carries through to L2? L1 pretty much covered all of the stuff I remember about statistics, and I HATE it (doing that review now).

I don't know. The stats/econ book and the alternative investments book are the two i have left.

I'll do stats next and let you know.

I really hate it because I'm the kind of person that doesn't like to learn something without a purpose and I know that there is 0% chance that I will ever have to calculate standard deviation by hand.

Statistics is one of my least favorite subjects I have ever had to learn.

I was considering pairing Economics with my Business degree, but Econometrics ended that idea. 5 weeks of that class and I wanted to end myself. I absolutely hated it.

Had to take a series of three 3-hour classes in undergrad, only to get to repeat them in my first semester of MBA school.

We only have one "Economics and Business Statistics" class to take, but it is intense and covers a ton of topics. One of the harder classes in the major just due to the amount of material.

I do acknowledge that some of it is useful, especially for someone interested in finance.

LSU has ISDS 2000, 2001, 3115 that Accounting/Finance/Business majors have to take. Its not completely useless, but since you start taking those as a freshman, you really have no framework to place it in. I didn't understand the point of any of it until my senior year, and that integration was self-taught.

And to think, before I entered my first stats class I was excited about it. After leaving my last stats class as a junior with 70 hours of credits under my belt. I thought to myself, I hope I never have to sit through another one of these classes again. Mind numbingly boring. Operations management did nothing for me as a 20 year old with no "real world" applications to apply it to. Memorize and regurgitate.

Pretty much agree with this 100%.

This is the biggest problem.

FWIW my buddy said the stats section for L2 is "worse." Shocker. I am finding the pirated Schweser stuff is actually really helpful for reviewing.
