Took a look at the pinned thread, but since Credit cards perks seem to change frequently so I thought that I'd start a new thread...
Avg spend 6-7K per month, no balance.
Formerly SW Card and/or Driver's Mastercard...
Doing a lot less SW travel, and the Drivers Card now is only a $1K cashback when you buy a new car.
Looking for some recommendations please...

I think last night I got an offer for a Chase Mariott that had 120,000 free points for the $95/year card and 60,000 points for the free card.
I left the tab open on my tablet to remind me so thanks for reminding me.
Why do offers go up with rates go up? The free money offers were dead for a while while interest was so low but have increased dramatically since they went up. BOA's used to be $200 then it went away and now I'm getting offers for $300

Tempting people to move balances over?
Not sure...
That sounds pretty good re: Marriott points.
They've got some nice resorts out West, IIRC.

Depending on your needs, be careful with this. While you will have access to all of their hotels/resorts, they only allow certain room types to be available when paying with points. My family of 5, including 3 small children, usually only have 1 or 2 options per hotel when reserving the rooms. And all options include everyone sleeping in the same room. Every now and then we find a sofa sleeper in an adjoining room with no wall, plus their sofa sleepers are some of the most uncomfortable "beds" I've slept on.

This can be dependant on status. Works with airlines as well. My wife has no status on American and when I look for reward flights under her account less flight options show up than on my account that is Platinum Elite.

Dang, thanks for the info.
Likely just be Mrs Vette & I, but good to know.

I personally don't like keeping up with categories and spending caps. I choose to use my fidelity 2% cash back and deposit the cash back straight into my investment account.
You can find a sign up bonus for $120 for spending $1000 in I think 90 days

You should go with a flexible currency like UR (Chase) or MR (AMEX) or Cap1 if you want to travel. You can look at a couple cards for 2% cash back if that's more beneficial to you. I have a lot or UR & MR points and my wife and I travel almost exclusively in business class. Airline cc are OK if you consistently fly a specific airline and want free bags, but you can easily transfer miles from the flexible currencies.
If you are going to travel a lot and stay in the same brand hotel, then it's good to get a hotel card for status and a free night each year. Otherwise, you can just use Expedia or whatever to shop cheap hotels if you're not going to the same brand.
