If you own a home, you can often get a helluva discount on premiums if you give them your home and auto business (if a company does both). Ask about a multi-line discount.

Switched from State Farm to Travelers on my wife's car. Cut the premium in half, and would have been more than that if we didn't have a couple of speeding tickets.

Switching from Statefarm to Safeco for 3 vehicles, house, boat, and atv coverage. Higher auto coverages with Safeco and we will save almost 2400 a year.

Has anyone had make a claim with Safeco? How are they to deal with?

I'm a broker and have had several clients have claims with Safeco.
Never had a bad experience.
