Starlink is printing money. The NASA funding is a small fraction of what Starlink brings in.

I am speaking of at the very beginning. Initial offering. Being in on it when it begins.

Close. Accredited Investor relates to private investments (not necessarily private equity

I’m well aware of this. I was answering based on the context of the OP’s original question.

Are you asking about the pre-IPO offering or the IPO? They’re two different things.

Keep in mind, for both you’ll likely be subject to a six month lockup, which means you can’t sell the shares for six months following IPO. Technically you could (at least for the IPO shares), but you’d likely be banned by whoever allocated you shares from participating in future IPO’s.

From what I understand an individual must be an "accredited" investor to be in at the beginning of an IPO. To be accredited you must have a worth of more than a million dollars excluding your home equity.

That about sum it up?

Let me clear this up, unless you are a UHNW individual, you have 0.000000000000000000000000000000% chance of participating in an IPO of this caliber. Even then it will be tough to get allocation.

Anyone think ASTS is a way of getting in on this?

RocketLab is turning out to be one of the best plays in the public market re space. If you’re looking to get some exposure to SpaceX now, two options are Fidelity’s Contrafund and Google (although Google has doubled since April).

I'm sure investors relations people would not want the minimum to go down. Their day would be full of answering dumb questions. The "accredited Investors" are pain enough.
