I'm holding XLM and ETH currently
I should have bought more at that .31 dip but I waited to long and got in around .45

How off is Stockwits from the actual crypto prices on Binance? Again, I'm new to crypto stuff. For instance on ZRX Stockwits is showing it at say 1.69 a coin, but I can't figure out what it was on Binance b/c all I see price is like .0000723 or something like that. How do I find out what exactly I bought it at on Binance? Or is stockwits just not accurate?

I got in at .31. I'm liking this bounce back!

The price you see on Binance is the price relative to the coin youre trading for it. So, if you have the "ZRX/BTC" tab open, you see the price relative to bitcoins. The price in parenthesis in dollars next to it is somewhat of a USD equivalence.

I bought ZRX/ETH, I'll look at it again like you said, thanks

Also, depending on what youre doing (swing trading vs cashing in/out), that depends on which number you care about.
If you want to swing trade, you're more interested in the relative price. That is to say, if I have a bunch of eth I want to swing trade with and a coin is fluctuating between 0.0043 and 0.0049 eth, I want to try to trade into it at 0.0043. I don't necessarily care what the USD equivalent is. It could be high or low depending on what the value of Eth is at the moment. For example, I bought into VEN at $5.30/share when eth was 1400. VEN was only worth 0.0036 eth at the time.
Right now, VEN has increased in value vs. eth and is at 0.0057, but is only 6.01 because ETH is only 1095. As eth rises in value vs usd, so too will VEN.
If you're cashing in or out, though, you care what the USD equivalent is.
I hope this helps.

Is there a spreadsheet template out there that helps track or log all of that? Everything you just wrote is almost my exact situation. Trying to sell TRX and buy VEN, but I'll of course get ETH not USD. But my sheet relates everything I have to USD, but the ETH/USD price is moving. I'm trying to create a sheet, but I have actual work to do.
(My first post here. Been lurking for a couple weeks. Love reading all the info here.)

You can even get more technical.
Right now I have some VEN. It has increased greatly in value vs ETH but hit a sell wall and may rebound down.
ETH is eating into its sell well and may increase in value more.
I am tempted right now to turn my VEN into ETH, then wait for the curves to flip/flop, and put ETH back into VEN when they are on a peak/dip respectively.
But be very careful doing that

Probably, I just have two monitors and put two windows of the currencies I am watching on one with a window to trade on the other. Put it buy/sell orders when I figure out what I want to do and cross my fingers.

Thankfully I did not do this. I saw the wall getting eaten and the whale (this is terminology for a cocksucker with a lot of a certain coin) took his wall down manually so he doesn't lose more coin.

Gotcha. I have to do it all on my phone while at work. Other issue is it's taking a while got my TRX sale to go through, so who knows what value it will be (and ETH will be) once it's final.
Also at the moment it seems all these alts are fluctuating similarly. So selling something high probably means the one you want to buy is also higher. So then hold ETH until that target goes lower. But if ETH drops during that time too, have you really done anything of value?

You have to really look at the value of the coin vs eth.
Right now, I am most interested in accumulating as much of a certain coin as possible. So, I am doing whatever I can to maximize that end.
It's pretty difficult to swing-trade multiple coins at once and juggle like that - probably work better left to a bot

Anybody in here running a trading bot?
Recently bought Profit Trader and in the 4 days I have had it, it has already paid for a 1/3 of the cost. It was even making a profit on the horrible red days we have had this week. So far it really seems to be working.
