That’s because the jobs situation over the last couple of years has been an unmitigated disaster. Even with this clown report (which will prolly be revised down) we have hemorrhaged full time jobs and jobs held by Americans. And now 785k gubment jobs. LOL. How stupid do you think people are?

Oh, and I don’t remember you having much to say about that recent 800k downward revision. Face it, these numbers are garbage.

Establishment survey only reflected 31k in government jobs.

If you don’t trust the numbers, address ADP then. Private company. Private payrolls. Nothing but up.

I addressed it when it happened. If you’re interested I’ll find the posts.

We both discussed it here

6-12 months ago, the board was flooded with "I'm down on my 401K since Biden was inaugurated" types of threads

Which is funny because I'm pretty sure there was only a very very brief period, if one at all, where the total equities market was lower than it was on 1/20/21 and it was back in 2022.

Maybe I run in different circles, but I do not know a single person that is without a job or is working a job well below their qualifications.

If anything I still see a ton of signs requesting applications.

_______

Should my answer be in general, or specifically about you?

Isn't there another board you would like to spend your time on?

Wasnt the number estimate 150k

So if it was 143k then it was below expectations

ADP expectation was 128k.

BLS expectation was 150k.

Good response. A thread with Sloan and SDV jumping in turns to false accusations in a hurry. Way to respond with facts.

We always pull for America.

We just remember not long ago the numbers being revision by nearly a million.

I can’t remember the last time their numbers didn’t get revised down. The initial numbers banner headline, very public, the revisions in whispers on page 6.

The establishment survey and the household survey are two separate groups of data.

The 245k number has no direct correlation to the big jump in government/full time/native born numbers. They come from two separate groups of data.
