I have a P series and a C series Engelhard. Mine are a little more tarnished and nicked up than these in the picture.

Subtle "My Engelhard has a little butthole right in the middle of it" brag.

We didn't hold the line for very long but poking holes in the 70 resistance level and then moving laterally with pullbacks is still a very healthy sign.
What is weird is if you look at the daily chart it's a parabola but if you look at the intraday charts outside of the marubozu candle weeks the price action has been good from a technical perspective.

And pretty much since 8 EST we have been blowing up that direction.
I was half way joking with my aggie buddy who bought 20,000 oz on my recommendation across 2022-2023 that we might see $75 this year.
Jesus

I’ve been accumulating silver for 30 years.
I had become certain it would never break ~$38. Feels good man.

He should buy you a steak, for life, any time you want one.

Can we get that next Tuesday?

Up another 3% this morning. I had no idea dumping a bunch of money into SLV in August would end up being my best investment of the year

I covered the number every way on the roulette table this year. SIL, SLV, GLD, GDX, GDXJ and $30k of physical assets.

Today has been Mr. Toad's Wild Ride once NY hours opened.
We basically blasted off to $70.6745 then pulled all the way down to $68.8445 and now have recovered most of it to currently be at $70.3005

I would consider rotating SLV to PSLV and GLD to PHYS before 1/20

Basel III "End Game" is why I can't see any major pullbacks happening with spot prices.
Gold will never crash hard again.. and Silver will track daddy.
Key Impacts on Gold
Tier 1 Reclassification: Gold held physically in a bank's vault is now valued at 100% of its market value for capital requirements (previously, it was often "haircut" or discounted by 50%). This puts it on equal footing with cash and government bonds.
Shift to Physical: The rules (specifically the Net Stable Funding Ratio or NSFR) make "paper gold" (unallocated contracts) more expensive for banks to hold. This incentivizes banks to hold physical, allocated bullion instead of digital derivatives.

I'm with you and I agree wholeheartedly.
Begun, the resource wars have.
Tesla 48v system requires silver
Samsung silver-carbon anode solid state battery requires silver
Solar panels require silver
AI infrastructure requires silver
Tomahawk missiles require silver
Medical devices require silver
Silver is mined out of the ground at a 7:1 ratio.
Historically it was 12:1 in roman times
When this country was founded on the bi-metallic standard it was 15:1
It's going to melt people's faces when we get back to asset to asset ratios and the derivatives paper futures game goes away.
