No, that reflected the $2915 spot price when I bought. That’s 1% under the $2945 they are selling for on the US mint website. And you can buy with no fee on CCs either.
I was just looking around a few hours ago and noticed that the mint website had some platinum proofs and they were cheaper than any other online bullion. I was like that’s weird and it dawned on me it was because they don’t update their pricing live with the market. The coins were priced at $2945 regardless of what the price action this evening was.going to be.
I saw silver gap up immediately at open so I kind of guessed where things were headed and camped out on the mint website. When the premium was under 2% I had to pull the trigger.

Oops, missed this part.
PSLV. I bought 1000 at $25.02 on the 3rd or 4th of this month. In pre-market tonight it is at $35.57. I am not mad at it.

Which Sprott product/metal are we talking about? Assuming SPPP/platinum?

Last year when Gold hit $3k I sent an update on it in a family group text. It was going to be the last time I tried to get my family to think about precious metals. I had tried a lot in the years prior and they never listened.
Right after I sent it my douchebag BIL started texting back that he's never heard of anyone getting rich from buying Gold. He said it in a condescending manner. I politely informed him that you don't buy Gold to get rich, you buy Gold to stay rich. He then proceeded to tell me that he's never heard of anyone doing that either. He was trying to paint me as an idiot for buying coins. I won't share everything said, but that's the gist of it.
I'm also reminded of my brother asking me why I'm still buying this stuff a few years back.
I don't know where I'm going with this really, but it's been awesome watching these things run knowing I was right.
I know a few of y'all probably have similar stories.

Went to Aldi market yesterday to to pick up on a few items before the big storm. As I’m getting out of the car, the lady parked across from me offered me her empty cart
I completed my purchase, loaded my items into my trunk, then returned the cart to the queue The quarter my parking lot pal had originally used to release the cart turned out to be a walking liberty silver quarter worth $30 …. dang that was a sweet score.
I’ve done nothing but curse Aldi’s shopping cart system for years …. guess I’ll rethink that … lol

I never told anyone this on TD. My family is 1st generation Vietnamese immigrants. We were party of the “Boat People” escaping the country after the war. In order to reserved a spot for you and your family on that boat, it has to be paid in gold, not in currencies. Luckily my family saved enough to reserved a spot for the whole family. My dad told me stories that some families didn’t have enough gold and could only send part of the family. Must be tough parting ways. Even tougher deciding who would go.
And your BIL is wrong because my family made it here and our lives and future are richer in many ways because of this shiny metal.

My unprofessional advice would be to just buy something that looks cool to you.

Shop online kitco, monex, Blanchardsonline, California numismatic, etc but for that quantity, I’d find a local coin/metals shop. Gold and Silver of La is in Covington and Baton Rouge.

109.39 this morning... lets see what kind of pullback we have today.
The trend seems to be up big overnight, then a pullback in the morning here, followed by a correction and small increase by end of day.
