Happens for every asset especially the more "controversial" ones such as bitcoin and PMs

Just got out of the Grand theatre on Johnston St ( took the wife and MIL to see Melania) and we stopped at CC’s to get a coffee and I saw the spot was down to $83 but still $122 in Shanghai and realized I was a half mile from Coin & Treasure on Congress so ducked in real quick and picked up 3 sleeves of American Eagles on a credit card.

Even with the $200 of swipe fees I got them for $90.

Probably the best impulse buy I’ll ever make.

Is this all just because the new Fed pick? This is ridiculous.

All of it? No. Perhaps that is what started the sell off but the depth of the pullback is because this asset went in damn near a straight line up. There is zero support/foundation when that happens so the crashes are very hard.

I shite you not my door rang 10 minutes after the closing bell today with a metal delivery.

I mean I’m still glad to have it but the timing feels kind of mean spirited.

They are radically different. PMs are a very worthy alternative investment. Bitcoin is money.

In the concept of alternative investments being a hedge for fiat collapse, I doubt the guy at cox or entergy is gonna show up if the dollar is worthless. Good luck spending your internet money in that case

They’ll take their gold bars to the local market and just buy things. Definitely won’t tip off any criminals who will rob them on the way out or follow them home and then rob them

internet money
This pejorative makes no sense. Internet money is the only money that exists in 2026. Some of it is an IOU and some isn’t.

All money is internet money if the grid goes down. Banks don’t have enough for everyone to go withdraw their money

The concept of money isn’t real baw

The internet isn’t as tough as you think. Only like 10% of indians have access to it. Once they reach critical mass the internet will be largely abandoned

I get a kick out of the manipulation claims when things fall. Never mind the parabolic rise the last 3 months, it’s only manipulation if it goes down apparently.

People are/were trading a crazy amount of silver on margin. It’s incredibly normal for that rise to get wiped out in a hurry when it turns around.
