The sec can and I believe the leaders in the exchanged can halt trading. They do it a different points for stocks as well during mergers. Penny stock land is full of trading halts, and all sorts of crazy structuring and renaming that requires temporary halts for different reasons

That’s why I said when the market for the stock is open.

The exchanges halt the trading and platforms can stop buying even if the market is open, but they can’t stop you from selling if the market exists.

Good he’s not an idiot, you have to take some off the table, it’s a life changing event.

The Deep State will win in the end. But it was a good story while it lasted.

Also, I find it queer that GME was down exactly $100.00 yesterday (FEB01)

Hard to argue with making $13MM on a trade, but a good place to start would be losing $20MM+ Ouch.

You know when something is manipulated, these kind of things don't happen by accident.

I’m still holding and with the drop AH I’m buying more. Good luck to us all on our decisions.

Other than the downside pressure in PM/AH, gme has traded pretty flat the past couple days.

It doesn't look good for holders.

Almost looks like it closed on two limit orders, which would actually make a lot of sense given the volatility.

I don’t have any money involved. I’m just finding it interesting that it broke so badly overnight.

Without seeing the volume, for all I know it is the same hedge funds passing GME around like a hooker at an orgy for $1 a share to depress the price.

Wouldn’t surprise me at all. These sells at half a cent increments are fishy

Well it is not letting sales go through even if you do want out.

Haven’t tried today but yesterday Schwab told me I didn’t actually have the shares of GME and AMC in my account to sell when I was trying to set some limit orders.

If I had real money in on this I would be pissed.

The massive "gamma squeeze" in GameStop (NYSE:GME) stock that was built on short-sellers overplaying their hand is likely at an end. The latest data from IHS Markit shows short interest in the video game retailer's shares has tumbled to just 39%, still elevated in normal circumstances, but substantially below the nearly 140% it stood at just two weeks ago when the drama began.
