Market is where it's at. Great rally! The hell with a 5% CD, etc.

If you bought stocks every time someone started a thread with the following titles or sentiment you’d do very, very well:

“What’s the best CD/Money Market rate out there”

“Things are going to get worse/We’re not at the bottom/etc.”

“This economy is about to fall off a cliff…”

“Runaway inflation is coming/The Dollar is getting destroyed”

However, a good time to take some profits is when the penny stock threads get going or you see a thread like this one

Like Ricky Roma said “when everyone bets one way, bet the other way.”

The roaring 20s have arrived.

The thing that saved me were the income tax ramifications vs LT cap gains. I couldn't make the numbers work outside of tax protected accounts.

Same. That 5% is great for my emergency fund and bond allocation. Earlier this week I locked in some Treasury notes over the next 5 years.

I haven't sold any of my stocks to put into cash etc the past year. I've been buying more stocks with each paycheck. Portfolio looking pretty good.

I cashed out my taxable account three weeks ago lol and of course the market goes on a run!

It’s ok. I wanted to put cash in savings for buying a house in the next couple years. I’m still invested in my 401k so I’m still getting some benefit.

It's a shame so many people let their biases (especially political on here) ruin potential market gains.

Been doing nothing but adding to the S&P since it started it's slide in early 2022.

I can't wait to make more money then. Nationally, the economy is decent. It can locally be very good to great.

My favorite is that we have threads like this and a 401k loan thread at the same time

Bought some shares back around 200 with the earning miss about a month and half ago.

When people start getting cocky about the market as “easy” money, that’s usually when shite is about to hit the fan. If you’re in it for the long term, these temporary run ups and downs don’t matter.
