I still use a little TP to dry myself and check for the “all clear”. We go through a roll maybe every 2 weeks though. We use so much less than we used to.

Purchased a Toto a few years ago and haven’t looked back. Psyllium fiber and a bidet are a life changer for the ol’ bhole.

This scene also works for bidets over TP.

Think about how Dude Wipes has exploded, all of that comes at the expense of TP.

So how does a bidet actually work? You don’t wipe off
The water?

So it’s like you sharted in your pants after? I don’t t get it…

So, while others may have different methods, I remove 99.9% of the dismount using conventional methods, ie. toilet paper being disposed of in the toilet. I have found that Charmin Extra Strong is the best toilet paper in terms of softness and rigidity, with minimal dingleberry production.

Once that is complete, I move over to the bidet where I have the hot/cold water mix just right for a final cleaning with soap and water. I dry off using special paper towels.

Bidets are a game changer. You have to go out into the world with a clean arsehole.

Would think the majority is the opposite.

The bidet removes virtually 99%, then with small amount of tp you spot dry and check.

Most totos have heated dry

Why? The point of a bidet is to clean with water and then dry as needed. Mine even has fan that helps with that.

I wonder how the gradual end of the printed newspaper has affected the paper industry.

This 1970’s TV show intro has not aged well.

bidets

I have one in each of our bathrooms and I STILL have to buy an 8 pack/week. 6 females in my house so I guess that's probably to be expected.

Paper in general is struggling. Materials used in packaging are evolving and supply chains are too. Challenges mean consolidation. Container boxes rode a big wave of investment around Covid and but is due for reinvestment again. It’s a tough and unglamorous, low margin business.
