In 2010, Rodgers > Brees, any other year, its Bress. Overall, its Brees

I agree

I just wanted to jump in to laugh at his stat comparison from 2 games in which stats are very similar.

Rodgers is currently better than Brees, sorry. You can't logically think that Brees is better right now after the seasons both had.

Brees had 33 total TDs and 24 total turnovers in 16 games, while Rodgers had 32 total TDs and 12 total turnovers in 14 games. Rodgers' QB rating was 10 points higher, AND he won three road playoff games. Why is Brees currently better? There's no shame in being fourth.

ah we're going to be reactionary and base this all off one season and ignore the complete body of work? Ok great. Brees certainly had an off year, could have had something to do with his fricked up MCL, who knows right?

you're riding high following your win I'm sure, but seriously come the frick on. Go out and party with all your fellow Louisiana packer fans......

He beat Manning head to head, so definitely yes 100%. No shame in being 2nd Peyton.

I'm not ranking the quarterbacks based off their body of work. I'm ranking them based on who I think is the best right now. So what they have done basically this year and last year plays a lot into it. Who the best quarterback in the league is right now. Who I would want as my quarterback right now.

If it's based off of career resumes and total body of work, then Manning, Brady, and Brees are the top 3.

What does complete body of work have to do with the present? If you want to make excuses for injuries, how about Rodgers' two concussions? Did Brees miss any significant time this season due to injury?

You are being a homer if you think Brees is better than Rodgers right now. Both are great passers, but Rodgers gives you better mobility and production on the ground. Plus, Brees isn't a stranger to turnovers. Over the last three years, Rodgers has thrown 31 INTs; Brees has thrown 50.

Probably dating back to the Brett Favre days. He's from near here, and the Saints sucked in the 90s.

I liked the Packers when I was younger because of Favre.

you really don't think having a significant MCL injury for the majority of this season effected his accuracy #s at all this season? Ok awesome.

I'm being a homer and you're completely unbiased? Shut up.

We'll see if Rodgers continues to outperform Drew, it was one season. Drew has been better for a longer period of time. Let's see if it was a fluke first before dropping him in rankings. How about that? No that's crazy talk.

I don't think anyone is being a homer. I just think people aren't seeing both sides of things.

Sure, that's fine. It's not crazy to have Brees as the 3rd best, or even 2nd best QB in the league. I think that Rodgers will continue to play as one of the best QBs in the league. Brees probably will too. I guess we just have to wait and see how the next few seasons play out.

he acts as if the #s are way in rodgers' favor and its just blind homerism to argue otherwise.

Let me start by saying I've been all over Rodgers for three years now, pumping him up as an elite qb. Got hated on bad for ranking him above Manning before this year started.
But the love he is getting right now is rediculous. You do realize that Drew Brees had the greatest statistical five year run of any quaterback in the history of football right? I'm not a Saints fan, that's just fact. You cannot disregard that. Rodgers is personally my favorite qb in the league, I like him better than the guy who is qb'ing for my team. But my god people say some dumb stuff around here.
