How much money is being wagered on a Coppin State game? Now compare that with how much is bet on a University of Kentucky game. All it takes are a few players or a coach in on the take with a slanted line to get the public heavy on the wrong side to make millions in a single night
You kind of disproved your own argument.
If there is an unusual volume bet on a Coppin State game, the sites will figure out the ruse, like in this case. That's the thing about legal gambling, they are VERY good at figuring out illegal bets (because they have to be). Any outlier result or winnings will trigger deeper investigations.

I wouldn't touch the big schools if I was one of the ringleaders. There are fewer eyes on smaller programs.
Thats dumb. Much easier to spot large bets on small schools since there’s much fewer bets being placed on the games. A big bet on small school will standout much more than large bets on big time college programs.

This happens alot more often than people will admit across all sports. These are just the ones that were caught.

That list is hilarious with everyone being small potatoes. No way in hell there aren’t bigger school names involved. Can’t go after the money makers.

I'm not talking about a bettor bribing them, I'm talking about someone affiliated with the books doing it. Who gives a shite about the juice if you can get $100 million wagered on a game with 80% on one side and that side loses
They try not to let that happen in the first place. If the money is heavy on one side they adjust the line.
The goal is to have the same amount on both sides so the losers pay the winners and they take the vig out of the payouts. In football the strategy is offset somewhat because they don't like to cross a key number like 3 or 7.

I’m fully aware of how things are supposed to work, but trust me that it’s very frequent for it to end up heavy on one side
E.g 72% of Tickets and 83% of the money is currently on Indiana -7.5 to 8.5

I don’t bet anymore and don’t keep up with spreads lately.
What was the opening line for game?

And if truth be told, that's probably the tip of the iceberg
