no birdie's on the back nine though, seems as if he cooled after a very hot front nine.

If he keeps playing solid. He's got a chance. Still early, only 3 strokes back....depends on how the course plays tomorrow.

Duval started on 10 today. He heated up when he got to the front side.

i went to english turn a couple of times, and i thought it was a good venue as well. what was the reasoning for building the tpc and moving the tournament over there?

I think a lot of it had to do with the members at English Turn. I don't know the exact reasons, but I remember that being a part of the reason back then. I'd guess it was a pain in the arse for them to have their course shut down in the middle of prime golf season. Plus, I'd bet the club had to put large chunks of change into the course every year to keep it in shape for a PGA Tour event.

For anyone planning to go Saturday with the weather up in the air, they are telling everyone working to expect play on both tees when weather permits.

I thought the move was so that the state had a reason to build the TPC, or finance it to some extent. Again, money not well spent IMO. Haven't heard a good thing about the TPC yet.

Yea, this is probably true. I remember when the course first opened, the state gave some sort of tax breaks to the course based on # of out of state rounds played there. They didn't think they'd have a problem meeting it, but if I recall correctly, they didn't really come close. The whole thing has been a giant fail, IMO. I don't even have the desire to go play there very often.

yep, but at least it has a sweet practice facility. Actually, not really because the short game facilities leave a little to be desired IMO
