Raiders have to be choosy about who to keep. Jacob’s is likely going to want bank. If he makes the pro bowl again this season, he would have to paid a good bit under the stipulations of that option.

Yeah, which is exactly why you should never draft a RB in the first round

I agree, plus RB production is more about system and coaching.
Only generational talents can do well regardless. Guys like AP, Derrick Henry, Barry Sanders, etc.

Agree with this. I'd also never give one a second contract. More than any other position, RBs are wholly dependent on the guys around them.
Elite QB and offensive line is where I would invest big money on offense. If you are great at QB and you can block for him, you don't need to spend on skill players.

And I still wouldn’t draft them first round in todays game

Exhibit A: Ezekiel Elliot
Tony Pollard shined while Zeke couldn't muster much of an effort in the run game. To be fair, Zeke was allegedly injured and not 100%. I hope Zeke plays for a contract this year and gets his payday with another club.

He will never be 100% again. That's the nature of playing RB in the NFL for as long as he has.

They do endure much more punishment than the NFL of yesteryear whereas the QB endures far less.
side note: I hope the Texans pick up a RB today, don't care much who it is but wouldn't mind if it was Robinson Jr.

Which is why noon should blame or be confused by Deebo not wanting to be used at RB

So only Pickett went in the first round?
Someone is going to start a run on the QB's tonight I feel.
There is
Corral
Willis
Ridder
Howell
Strong

2nd round will be a shite ton of trades going on. Too many skill players available at QB and RB that will cause a fuss.

Texans are willing to deal

If you are the Texans, do you go get a vet to back up Mills, do you draft a guy to replace Mills, or do you just do nothing and hope like hell Mills stays alive?

Get a vet like Foles or someone else cheap for a backup role. They have Tunsil and Howard at Tackle but they’re most likely using those extra draft picks to build depth for the roster.

If Dean is available for the Falcons 2nd round pick and they don’t take him I’ll have a stroke.
They have Jones and Evans. I think they have bigger needs than ILB.

Texans can go bpa and get better, other than maybe no further investment tackle (not that they are flawless there either, just heavily invested). They are not going to be good for awhile.

They signed Evans to a prove it 1 year deal after he was meh in Tennessee. Hardly a shored up position for the falcons.
Plus you don’t draft for need, especially when you are in a massive rebuild. Just draft the best players possible

To the Steelers, baby. Dude doesn't even need to change lockers
Really liked the pick.

Bake ham for the team that takes him. Bust waiting to happen.

Define awhile, will they make the playoffs next year probably not but they’ve got 4 1st rd picks over the next two years.

That's true but I think they have much bigger needs.
