That’s him. My dad is John P. He’ll be watching on dunhamlive.net and I’ll be at the game.

Awesome. If the Panthers win this next game, I'm going to see if I can talk my Dad into going to the dome

PJT. His birth name was Paul but I have never heard anyone ever call him by it. Middle name was James and very few call him that either. As long as I've been alive he's gone by Jim but not sure what he was called in childhood and growing up. His family only knows him by his nickname "Tookie" lol.

He also clarified that 1959 was the last season he played on the team since he graduated in 1960.

Who do you think will win the Cecilia - Plaquemine game? I guess you've seen both teams live against Opelousas.

I've been thinking about this a lot.

My concern for Cecilia is how physical Plaquemine was Friday night. They beat Opelousas in the trenches on both sides of the ball, and that's normally where OHS wins their games. Maybe it was an off night for OHS, but I think Plaquemine was the better team overall. Can Cecilia match that physicality?

Cecilia is so dynamic on O, they will put up some points.

I think this will be a coin flip, but if I had to pick a winner i'd probably choose Plaquemine, mainly using the transitive property, which as we know, doesn't really work, but it's all I have to go by!

ETA: I can't wait to watch it. The Plaquemine crowd was the most strange group I've seen. 3rd round of the playoffs, and very light crowd and it sounded like a morgue over there. Zero energy. It did get better as the game progressed though.

Thanks, it will probably be the team that has the fewer turnovers.

Cecilia reminds me of LSU's team last year, Great Offense, but below average defense.

After watching Opelousas several times last year and with the players coming back, I thought for sure Opelousas was going to win the Championship again.

Now, that Plaquemine beat them and was more physical than Opelousas, that is not good news for Cecilia.

I actually thought it would be hard for us to repeat.

Yeah, it would seem that way, but matchups can make a game completely different. Cecilia could do some stuff that throws them completely off. Opelousas knows all the trickery and misdirection that Cecilia does. It's gotta be hard for a team to figure that out in a week.

Hopefully this green devil team sleeps on the Dogs like all the sideline prognosticators have been doing since the playoffs started.

I’m surprised Chalmette is still so salty. They were clearly overmatched. The officiating as has been mentioned was horrendous but probably affected us more, as Neville had 2 TD’s taken off the board and we lost our starting tight end for a half next week due to ridiculous personal foul calls.

I don’t think any of the fans who post here have been salty. We didn’t play good enough to win. We had our chances but in the end we didn’t take advantage of them and Neville eventually overpowered us.

There is a thing going around social media here that the officiating crew that did the game was supposed to work a superdome game, and they have been removed. Anyone know if that is true?

Sushi… are state championship crews pre assigned or only the week of the game? Does the whole crew work it or do they do all star crews?
