That's harsh, lol. I get the "building for the future" thing and LeClerc is olyoung, but I still feel like Ferrari made a mistake. You put Sainz in the RB21 instead of Lawson and hea pushing Max. You put him in the Mercedez next to Osama without orders and he's gonna beat Russell in points.

, just saw Max’s most recognizable mechanic Calum Nicholas is retiring.
Cost cap is squeezing wages and length of season is an absolute drag. I couldn't do it more than a year or two.

100%
He’s better than Russell

Max was probably watching that on a monitor in the paddock and shaking his head. At least Sergio was easy to get along with, lol.
Is Liam known for being hard to get along with?
Seriously asking, I don't know anything about him.

He did not like Checo. That's for sure.

Again, I'm a pretty new fan of F1, and it seems like this year as compared to the past few years, there's going to be a lot of rookies on the grid.
I realize that it's not like these guys started racing a month ago, but obviously there's a learning curve to the series, different cars and different team ideas.
That, along with driver/team changes, it seems like the first part of the season will be pretty wild as a result of all this newness. Does that seem fair to expect?

Liam clashed with a few drivers on track last year, kind of needlessly because he was usually not in the points, but he wanted to assert that he wasn't going to be a pushover. In particular, he clashed with Perez a couple of times and flipped him off, which was seen as a faux pas, because they are technically teammates (VCARB drivers are contracted to Red Bull).
I think you're spot-on regarding the number of rookies. In particular, I'm expecting a lot of Turn 1 contact. Race starts are going to be nerve-wracking.
That, along with the top four teams expected to be much tighter, and the uncertainty of the bottom six teams, and some awesome new team pair-ups (at Ferrari and Williams), yeah the start of the season is gonna be awesome!

That's what I was referring to. He came off as entitled as a driver and was a prick when people actually tried to race him for position.
All I knownis he'd better finish better than 5th or so on average if Max is winning races. If he's in the back half of the Merc/Ferrari/RBR/Macl drivers he's going to have to make some changes in how he approaches the paddock.

OK guys, sorry for the late notice, but I wanted to make sure I had enough code in place to get TD F1 Championship game going. This is the game:
1. You will predict the race finish order for all 20 drivers for every race.
2. Using my scoring system from last year, each of the 20 predicted race positions will be scored against each driver's actual finishing position. The 20 individual scores will be added up to your total score.
3. The total scores for all of you will be sorted high to low, to create the ranking. The people with the top 10 scores will receive F1 race points. So if you win a race with the top score, you will get 25 points. Your F1 points will be added up for the season to determine your final championship position.
Notes:
1. You will update your prediction for each race yourself on my site. It will be very easy. However, this means that you need a login.
2. You will only be able to update your prediction until the day before first practice. Once the weekend begins, your prediction is locked in. The prediction form will unlocked after the race is finished and the scores are posted.
3. If you forget to update your prediction for a race, it's fine, you are OK because your previous prediction is stored in the database and will be used for future races until you update it. So you could create a prediction just once and let it ride through every race in the season.
4. That being said, please only enter the TD F1 Championship if you think you will be able to update your prediction for most races.
5. The game is restricted to members of TD, preferably people who post occasionally to the F1 thread. I realize some people are more lurkers, and that's fine too.
Instructions:
Unfortunately, it doesn't look like TD has a messaging system. And since participation is restricted to TD members, I can't have a login system that allows anyone to sign in. Therefore, I need a way for me to provide credentials to each of you. So follow these instructions:
1. Write an e-mail to me, using my TD username at "gee mail". My username is a little tricky so it's best to copy and paste it when entering it as an e-mail address, instead of typing it in manually.
2. Make sure the Subject line includes: TDF1 and your TD username. The "TDF1" is important because that's what I will use to automatically tag these e-mails as being for the TDF1 Championship.
3. Give me a few days to set everyone up, and probably by Monday I will start sending out return e-mails with your login links.
It's gonna be fun!

So who do we want in the "experienced" seat at Cadillac? I don't think any driver currently on the grid would voluntarily go to Cadillac in 2026 given the enormous uncertainty, although money can be a strong persuader. I think the best driver on the grid who has a good chance of being without a seat next year could be Yuki, but someone like Bottas, who has experience at a championship winning team, could be the type of guy that they want. For the young gun seat(?), Mario Andretti really wants Colton Herta, but I think others are not so impressed. He's been in IndyCar long enough that he should be a more steady, constantly-in-the-championship-hunt kind of guy like Palou, Newgarden, McLaughlin, and O'Ward (lately). Herta still isn't that guy, so I don't know why the Andrettis are so high on him.
BTW 1999, why haven't you signed up for the TDF1 2025 championship yet?
