No, I'd think the bigger of the two ballparks where the higher overall seed was beaten would make more sense between the two sites.
Or for the most fairness, pick a different site that neither team played at this weekend?

Damn. State kinda gets shafted there then for basically being the #1 2 seed and having to travel twice as far as one of the worse 2 seeds. (Actually i seed Nebraska is ranked 19th, so I guess they are pretty strong 2. Just knew state was ranked 16th on d1)
ETA: that’s a good secondary point you make too about one team having the advantage of having played a whole weekend there the week prior

Nebraska was ranked 17th, which would make them a borderline 1 seed. But they got thrown in Arkansas regional because of the Van Horn/Bolt story. I was pissed, but like I mentioned Arky should be equally pissed. These two had no business being in the same regional

"Ranked" is meaningless. The committee uses RPI, and Nebraska's was in the 40's on selection day.

Yea I didn’t realize how highly they were ranked.
ETA: and you’re right Jwho, but I was still using it as an indicator and was wrong about it anyway. Point is I probably underestimated their quality
And now they I know this, it makes sense how they are playing Arkansas so well.
Hope they advance to face nc state. Will be a great series

And yeah, RPI is junk this year with the weird COVID scheduling but the committee leaned on it hard because they are lazy and stupid.

Agreed, but the B1G played no preseason and conference tournament, so RPI is as

I’m just pissed NC state didn’t get put in one of the 8 regionals that were closer or get paired with a super in Knoxville or Nashville so I could go
