Fair enough. I need to watch the E:60 piece again. I wasn't aware he treated staff poorly too.

He threw a potted plant in the direction of a secretary once - broke it up against the wall right behind her. He "probably" was not trying to hit her but still.
No one was spared from his violent rage and outbursts. Even for his day and era in the late 60's and 70's when the yeller/intimidator type coaches were celebrated, he was a one off in the level he took it to.

Yes he blew it with Larry Bird. Larry went elsewhere.

There was a story where Knight went to the University cafeteria and something on the hot bar wasn't cooked right according to him so he had someone go and fetch the cafeteria manager from the back and he proceeded to cuss them out in front of the whole cafeteria over a piece of fish or something
He was a lunatic.

Dude was a complete piece of shite human being. The way he died still wasn't enough justice for the way he treated people.

It is incredible that he made it through life without someone having just beat the ever loving shite out of him. Maybe someone did and we just never heard about it.

The amount of power he had at IU was insane, and he got away with so much shite just because he was a successful coach and everyone around him was afraid of him.

Yeah people just took his abuse and went on their way. There was a famous incident where Knight slapped UK coach Joe B Hall in the back of the head. If I'm not mistaken, UK even invited Knight to come to Lexington for a birthday roast of coach Hall, after the slap incident.

It blows my mind that there are people who legitimately idolize this guy. Dude basically ran IU like a mafia boss and bullied anyone who stepped up to him.
