Samari Rolle? He isn't a top 20 corner anymore.

Last year when he was healthy he was. But I didn't realize he just had nexk surgery again, so yeah he definetly isn't up there now.

is Champ still elite? or does everyone share Romo's opinion of him?

He's still a top 8-10 corner, but I think there are at least 5 better than him.

LOL, Samari Rolle.

And, someone really thinks Webster is a top 5 CB?

My top 5, in no particular order
a) Revis
b) Asomgua
c) Champ Bailey
d) Al Harris
e) Winfield

I guess you could put Webster at 6. But, then there is Charles Woodson as well. Plus Nate Clements, who is VERY good. (helped shut down Saints passing attack)

edit: i meant MCGEE, not Clements, who shut down the saints passing attack lol. My bad

Winfield is awesome though.

I think if he can stay healthy he is a top 5 corner. A healthy Champ is a big reason Denver's D is so much better.

His play to end the game against Dallas was amazing. Basically went against every rule for a CB and gave Hurd the quick slant in the endzone, knowing he could still get a hand on the ball.

Who?

Asomgua
Revis
harris/woodson
Clements?
Winfield?

Personally i'd rank Champ right under Revis and Asomgua. dude is still pretty elite IMO.

Are you serious? Do you have any clue how good he is?

Plus Nate Clements

Guess you like big contracts and giving up a lot of big plays?

And you have Harris in front of Woodson? Wow.

You're going off some guys stats that he complied watching every NFL game last year. Every one, really?

Just sayin.

There are other places to find those stats, it isn't just his.

Not to hate on Webster, ive followed his career closely and yes he has been a key cog in the giants Super Bowl caliber defence.

I think calling him a top 5 CB is a BIT premature. I'd like to be proven wrong though.

I've never heard of "forced incompletion %" before.

Asomgua
Revis
Winfield
Clements
McGee

i guess i wouldn't say they are better, but just as good imo. i would take the top 4 over champ and would consider taking mcgee over him at this point in their careers.

He allowed 1 TD last season

Clements Allowed 7

He also had the lowest YPA against him and forced the highest incompletion % of any CB.

Is that enough?

I know Dumervil/playing OAK and CLE have helped cause this stat, but only allowing 26 pts through 4 games is remarkable. Thus i'd still peg C-Bailey as an elite corner if he is the #1 CB on this unit.

I think we all can agree though that Revis and Asomgua is a toss up 1-2, then there are probally 6-8 different CBS who can claim #3-#5
