So it's only interesting if Miami wins and upholds the college football oligarchy? ESPN would send you a job offer letter just for that take.

Indiana, while certainly more than worthy, just isn’t an interesting team. They’ll likely win by multiple TDs, but they just aren’t a draw for me.
The only interesting aspect in this game is Miami’s individual talent and athleticism. Can a few players “go beast mode” and take the game over by their sheer athletic greatness? That’s the only way the game will be interesting.
Lol. Indiana had lost more games than any major program coming into the season and is going out with former G5 guys and bench players from also ran power league programs and destroying huge talent pools like Alabama, a roster loaded with NFL talent and blue chip recruits. So uninspiring.
Elite Offense, heisman QB, 2 really good RBs and 3WR with very good production, probably all get a shot in the NFL. Yawn.

I’m more interested than if it were Alabama vs Ohio State or something

I hat it being on a Monday night, always have even when Alabama was in it just seems kinda anticlamactic. It needs to move to a Friday night. I know they don't want to compete with the NFL, but Monday is the worst.

Fine with me. Would have preferred it be this weekend, but it's not a big deal.
The game may be a blowout though. Indiana is a machine this year

I realized the reason I and probably others feel so checked out of the new playoff structure…so much happens with other teams rosters and player movement with the portal, that the extremely long wait between end of season and championship makes it feel like every other program is already into a “next season”
it’s like only Miami and Indiana are still stuck in time for 2025 while every other fanbase has moved on

I’m going to watch primarily to see how many times the cameras are directed to train themselves on Cignetti while he knows it and makes smug, douchey faces.

Certain college football fans only want the same 10 programs competing for the National Championship every year.
Here's what we should do at the end of every college football season. No matter the results during the regular season and any conference championship games, the following should be in a 12 team playoff every single post-season against each other.
Alabama
Ohio State
Notre Dame
Miami
Texas
LSU
Georgia
Michigan
Pedo State
USC
Oklahoma
Florida State
Then have another 12 team playoff amongst the best conference champs and at-larges that are not any of the above 12.
Everyone can be happy that way.

I'd say it's more so around ~20 programs.
Georgia
Clemson
Penn State
Miami
Oklahoma
Notre Dame
Colorado (only with Deion)
Alabama
Florida State
Nebraska
Florida
Michigan
Tennessee
Ohio State
LSU
USC
Texas
Auburn
All of these programs have at least one title in the last 40 seasons. These are the only programs that the subset of CFB fans you described have deemed "worthy" of the title. The only non-title-winning program I could see them giving some leeway to is Oregon.
The only programs with a post-bowl poll era (1968-present) title that aren't on the list: Pittsburgh, BYU, Georgia Tech, Washington. Colorado joins this "not worthy" list the moment Deion leaves.
