I can't for the life of me understand why so many LSU fans hate Verne and Gary. My Facebook feed Saturday night will be full of people ripping on those guys. I think they do a fine job and they always give big ups to the Tigers that deserve it...Danielson was raving over Fournette during the Auburn game.

Danielson has no peers in any sport in any medium as a color commentator
As far as CFB I think Blackedge and Spielman are equal to if not better, but that is about it. Gary knows his stuff, he just takes it to a too personal level with talking about teams. It is not Nick, Les, Jim etc. It is Coach Saban, Coach Miles, Coach Mac etc. I know I am being the get off my grass guy.

Gary may be the best in the business at what he does.

I'll also add that danielson must do an incredible amount of research. Some 3rd string guy can come in and he knows his skill set, and can point out before the snap if they're going to him based on the look and matchup. He's incredible at his job

Agreed.

Because a vocal minority of LSU fans are so damn paranoid and convinced the world and CBS/ESPN/Sports Illustrated/SEC Office is in a conspiracy against LSU.

I don't think it's even close
And lundquist is one of the all time greats in broadcasting. You name an event, he's called it and it was great
He's just a little goofy/senile these days and can't commit a lot to memory because he's old
If it's a big play though, I want to hear Verne lundquist calling it

It's not just lsu fans, it's a human condition. My friends who are bama alums swear they hate bama and are the worst thing since polio

Al Michaels is the drunk, he was lit during a couple of SNF broadcasts last year, but I'll give it to him, he can handle his liquor

Because they're enthusiastic and when it's for a player or coach on the other team and especially when that team is winning, it drives people up the wall

Al at times lately has thought he is bigger than the game and makes calls that question the coaches as if he knows exactly what the check and key are.
The Alamo Bowl in '05 turned me on Tirico and Herbie, when they kept blaming the refs for the constant reviews and it was the replay booth of SEC officials not the Sun Belt guys calling and stopping the play every other down.

I also don't appreciate Gary's casual tone he takes regarding his relationship with Coach Saban. He calls him Nick like they're buddies from college. The nerve.

Danielson is in the bill belichick stratosphere in terms of football knowledge

Gruden is far worse. Can't even watch MNF anymore. His gig is OLD.
