NCAA is basically worthless at carrying out investigations without Yahoo doing their work for them

i mean yeah baylor looks like they broke some rules, but it seems lots of people in this thread didn't read the article to realize it was about fricking phone calls and text messages

if you're going to call a coach dirty, i hope that you hope that the coach in question gets busted for some legit dirt

This is minor compared to the stuff I've heard Scott Drew has done.

Ask Kelvin Sampson about how that affects your career.

This is the equivalent of charging Al Capone with tax evasion.

Old news... Drew has been a cheating dirty count since he arrived.... They should look into the laundered money through the AAU channels

Considering there's already at least one dead body in Baylor's recent past, you'd think they would have been smart enough to go on the straight and narrow.

When the women's program can pass a guy off as a girl at center, they're damn good. If what I saw earlier is the punishment, that's nothing.

The larger problem is that the NCAA hasn't imposed their penalties yet. Baylor has already thrown out some self-imposed penalties that limit scholarships and recruiting contact over "phone calls and text messages".

The problem is the NCAA is throwing around that "failure to monitor" moniker as well as "major violations" when referencing the calls/messages. I wouldn't be surprised if the NCAA parlays this into bigger penalties because of the previous issues at Baylor.

This.

They technically went light on Baylor men's BB the last time around, as they were eligible for the death penalty and the NCAA "only" eliminated all their non-conference games for a season.

Since Baylor didn't learn from that, the NCAA may be determined to make a bigger example this time around.

But But But Baptists don't lie, drink, dance or smoke. I bet the media is behind this witch hunt on Baylor, because some Baptist Baylor graduate, pissed a national reporter off. I remember watching Kim when she played for Hammond High. I watched her at La. Tech and her open statements about her hatred toward LSU. She was an excellent player, but if the bitch did wrong, she needs to be held accountable for her actions.

Not saying I disagree but wasn't that Sampson's problem as well or did he also try to cover up ala Pearl?

Seems like it's not going to be a huge blow to the programs but the article does mention that the number and frequency of the calls was enough to consider a major violation.

Baylor Women's basketball should be strip of all victories in 2011-12 for HAVING A DUDE ON THE TEAM!!!

The NCAA does not require genetics testing. The Olympics does. Griner is the best "female" basketball player in the U.S. If Griner passes on the Olympics, you have your answer. DUDE.

Can't help but notice a TON of heat coming from people associated with A&M.

Please...spare yourselves the breath. Everyone is cheating these days.

Well. The douchy baylor nerds have constantly pointed to A&M's "fedex years" to invalidate the dominant success A&M had in the SWC. They are insufferable little baylor turds and deserve every bit of the heat they get....payback is a beeehhooootch.
