How does it not make sense? They paid him a huge contract to produce at the highest level. If he needs to take time off to get back to that level, he should. Not limp into the playoffs.

Joe is maybe 70% healthy. He’s gonna injure his calf more by gimping around on one leg and getting sacked.

This is what I don't understand.

I mean, is it impossible for him to injure it worse than it already is? Because if that's not the case, why are they playing him?

Unless there is no way for him to get back to 100% this season, they are jeopardizing the entire season by playing him instead of allowing that Injury to heal.

You can tell Joe's accuracy is affected by the calf. His numbers are way off and the thing that made him great ACCURACY is way down. He is a warrior and they won so hopefully he can work thru this.

Yes, really

Offensive touchdowns

Bears-5
Jets-4
Bengals-3-dead last in nfl

Yards per play

Bears-4.4
Jets-4.2
Bengals-4.0- dead last in the nfl

Y’all don’t want to hear it but the bengals have the worst offense in the nfl right now and it’s because they are playing a qb who physically can’t produce anything

he needs to take the season off for a calf injury? what in the frick happened to this calf

I know, I'm surprised a muscle strain doesn't heal in a couple of weeks, but I think that's ultimately knocked out Luck, too.

I've seen both the Bears and the Jets play this year. This comment is fake news.
Joe looks bad to start this year and he is obviously hurt. I’ll still take that version of Joe over Fields and Wilson.

It seems weird that teams can average this much per play. It implies automatic first downs in perpetuity.

Agree, MEDIAN yards per play might be a more meaningful number.

The Bengals Super Bowl window is this year and next. Once they re-sign Chase they will not spend the money on the rest of the offense. See Bengals past history. Palmers rookie deal they were in playoffs. Paid Palmer and they sucked. Same thing with Dalton. Rookie deal playoffs. Paid Dalton sucked. Repeat with Burrow.

Or for every 23 yard Mooney catch, his longest, the Bears follow it up with 4 plays that go zero yards.

right now they are interchangeable QBs

Burrow

55%—4.7 yards per attempt—1.7td%—1.7int %—66 passer rating

Wilson

52%—5.6 yards per attempt—2.4 td%—4.8 int%—57 rating

Fields

58%—6.0 yards per attempt—3.4 td%—4.5 int%—67.7 rating

Burrow turning it over less, but fields and Wilson at least getting ball down the field some to open up other parts of offense. But all 3 absolutely a problem for their offense
