With those two wins against the broncos and Steelers. Let's not pretend they are an elite team by any stretch.
They aren't very good.

Why are you Alabama guys so obsessed with the Panthers?

Some of you try way too hard.

Bengals had a Top 10 offense and the Top passing offense, but their QB isn't good?

The Bengals aren't a good team though. They're an average team with a good QB.

Joe Burrow would have zero division titles if Lamar hadn’t gotten hurt in 2021 and 2022. Ravens were leading the division both years before Lamar went down for the season. Second best QB in the NFL, my arse.

Why? They lost to every good team on their schedule. Can't really be salty when your team didn't handle their business on the field. I mean I understand that some people are salty, but it's kind of ridiculous to be mad.

Because if the schedule was randomly in a different order and the Broncos played the Chiefs 2 games ago they might be in the playoffs?

I am not arguing they deserve a playoff spot and they absolutely should have handled their own business.

It doesn’t make it any less unlucky that the team that is getting the playoff spot ahead of them didn’t have to play the best team at full strength to earn it, and it’s a team the Bengals themselves just beat.

You know damn well any team on a streak like that with the best QB and WR in the league, noise could have been made. Don't play yourself.

They didn't do enough sure but don't act like they would just flame out lol

The odds would be heavily in the favor of them “flaming out”

They were 1 game ahead and on a 2 game skid already when he got hurt in 2021.

And both teams were 8-4 when he got hurt in 2022.

Let's not act like they had an insurmountable lead in either case.

And injuries happen. This is as dumb as saying the only reason Brady and the Pats won the east so many times is because the rest of the division sucked.

Last I checked, you still have to play the games and win, and can't control what happens to the other teams in the division.

A lot of the playoff teams who got in have crappy records against other playoff teams.

There’s a team with 10+ wins with only 1 of those wins coming against a playoff team and a lot of close calls in games against crap teams.

I mean we can play all sorts of what ifs, but that doesn't change anything.

The Bengals almost certainly aren't the first team to be "screwed" by a Week 17/18 rest game. It's the nature of the beast, just as teams with better records going on the road to shitty division winners is.

I wonder if people would be as pissed and up in arms over this if it was Buffalo playing Denver and resting their starters instead of Darth Mahomes and the Galactic Chiefs Empire.

Why would you assume otherwise? Because the bengals snuck past the mighty Steelers and Broncos?

You would know, wouldn’t you? That’s why you wear a helmet and your mother doesn’t allow you out after the street lights come on.
