Not the best ever but 2003 cubs rotation was pretty good. Prior, Wood, and Zambrano.

Those A's were the only WS threepeat team not named the New York Yankees

Poor middle relief/ closers. No real 'clutch' player besides justice the year they won it. Plus ran into other good/great teams.

True, years past there were not as many strong teams. But they always had 2 to3 super bad arse teams in both leagues.

Throw records out , that’s some unbelievable ERA
Posted on 9/30/21 at 9:20 pm to LSUBALLER
That team went 116-36-3 but lost the World Series

Give it to cubbies to not win WS with that pitching staff.

By the way that’s the ugliest hand I think I have ever seen

If I am correct 3 of those guys didn’t throw very hard at all. Lots of movement
Posted on 9/30/21 at 9:38 pm to Speedy G
Again that is one ugly hand.
Posted on 9/30/21 at 9:39 pm to LSUBALLER
Avery Maddox and Glavine didn’t throw “hard” but all could get to 90-91
Posted on 9/30/21 at 9:41 pm to sms151t
I remember Maddox throwing a lot of trash with Cubs
Posted on 9/30/21 at 9:49 pm to sms151t
Avery was a very crafty lefty

Def was. Also pitched when managers allowed pitchers to get a high pitch count. Now guy hits 70 pitches , time for bullpen action.
