I'll start this off by saying that LeBron is the best player in the league, but he is mentally weak and a coward. All things considered, he's still the best.
1. LeBron
2. Durant
3. Dwade
4. Kobe
5. Dirk

You got 2/3 right IMO. All the talent in the world but he is a blend of the characters from the Wizard of Oz.
No brain
No courage
No heart

How you have Dwade and KD above Kobe is puzzling to me. Again, as I said earlier dirk would have missed your top five list if he didn't win the championship.

Wade is a less versatile inferior version of James. The Heat put the ball in Wade's hand because if Wade played off the ball he would have been useless. James is a much better overall player so the thought is to let him use his other skills to impact the game.
The Heat have problems because Wade has to have the ball in his hands and this doesn't allow James to play to his potential.
I love how Sandstorm has basically declared Michael Jordan the only elite player in history.
James has also lived up to the ridiculous amount of hype he received coming out of highschool. I can't think of many athletes identified so young that would be great that would rise to the top of their sport.

Sorry if I gave that impression, but I pretty much look at LeBron as Scottie Pippen 2.0 minus the elite defense.

I am sorry, but If you put a 26 year old Jordan with a dwade and a bosh it would be all over but the crying. They would win every game. Why would a coach not gameplan ways to get the ball to his best player?

Im not sure whats up with your love for Carmelo, but he is not a top 5 player in the NBA.

The stats would say otherwise.

Woods, Crosby, A-Rod, just to name a few.

I don't if I would say much better, but he is better. I think that is a slight disservice to Wade, but really they are very similar players.

He did not live up to the hype. He exceeded it.

No, they wouldn't.

In ppg and game winning buzzer beaters, Carmelo is top 5.
Offensively, Melo is definitely in the running for top 5, but as a whole, he is not. I do think it is a slight disservice to him when some had Melo ranked like 18 though.

michael jordan was hated just like lebron at the age of 26. he was the stat stuffer who would never win a title

You are SO STUPID. You were 3 years old at the time. STFU JAKE. MJ had NOTHING as far as talent wise That Bron has had to the point of 26 years old.

there's one thing Lebron does not have that Jordan smokes his arse with - a good jump shot. Sure Lebron can swish them 50 feet away and all that fancy shite, but when the game was on the line, Jordan would pull up every time, and drill the jumper.

Right now I would say Dirk. Lebron is the best all-around player, but I can't call him the best player in the world right now, at least not after the finals.
Westbrook has the skill set to be in the conversation in a few years.

Whoa what?
There are about a dozen players under 25 that have a far better better chance of be the next The Man over Westbrook.

There are lots of players that fit that criteria. Oh.....and Kobe is still the best player in the NBA.
