That's the question pilot... Right this second
now who will be better during their careers. Not who would you build a franchise on.
If the world series started tomorrow, and you were in a 7 game series, who would you take for the next 7 games? Who is the best hitter right this second

If Votto got to play the Cubs for 162, then the answer would be him

That's not a bash on the Cubs. He just hits really well against them for some reason. Kinda like Berkman destroys the Reds.

I know...that bird was for Votto.

quote:Well, the thread is called "best young hitter in baseball" and there are some huge names not listed as options.
My favorite thing ever is when a thread is started asking for a decision to be made where choices are given and then people go out of their way to list someone that's not one of the choices.
I mean, Evan Longoria is 24 (the same age as Carlos Gonzales). Last I checked, he's pretty good.
Oh, and the correct answer is Matt Wieters as he once hit a home run when he was still in the on deck circle.

The title is certainly misleading, but he does point out in the first post that he is only interested in the three people listed.
I mean, really. David Freese? Tyler fricking Colvin?

Yes redd you can read. We said tyler fricking colvin. Why dont you go start a DRT

Actually when he started this thread, it had no message...then he edited it and put those 3 guys in there. So I'm not sure if he is just singling these guys out and we have to choose from them or if he's just giving us some examples. I took it as the latter.

Austin Jackson. He's leading baseball in hits, and cut down on his K's lately.
