LSU football has had worse chokes than that one. Their 2002 loss to Arkansas comes to mind as does their 2005 loss to Tennessee. 2012 Alabama was another one.

Their baseball team losing a home super regional to Stony Brook was bad too.

being completely outplayed from the start is not choking

Yeah if you take context into account I'm with ya. But if you were to evaluate all games with equal meaning, this has to be up there

In Indiana 1987 they were up like 10 with 4 minutes remaining and a win put them in the Final Four in the Superdome. And they lost.

I was going to say the interception game in 1994 between LSU-Auburn.

unbelievable choke job in that one. Auburn didn't score an offensive TD in that game yet won 30-26.

Jamie Howard went full retard throwing three interceptions that were returned for TD's. And a few other regular interceptions besides those.

Choke job.

The biggest choke in LSU basketball history is Indiana in 1987 and this one isn't even in the same galaxy.
I disagree. The Kentucky was the biggest comeback in the 2nd half of all time if I'm not mistaken. Historic choke trumps everything else.

Going in undefeated, number 1, and the best season of the programs history in your own backyard.

Yeah, it is.

Numerically it was the biggest choke. But that LSU team was not very good and was not going anywhere. LSU plays in the Final Four with the biggest home court advantage in basketball history and would have won the national championship if they don't shite the bed against Indiana and they shite the bed.

No. He did in the NC vs. Syracuse. I think Ricky Calloway hit the game winner but I could be way off.

I live outside the state now and was at work. And everyone said, "LSU up by 12 late." And I said, "Unless up 20 I just never trust the coach to get these kids to close out the game." I hate that statement proved to be true. future is bright but Jones is going to have to work on closing games as a coach.
