Because nothing you are saying is normal

The bills have been horrific on defense their last 6 playoff exits. McDermott is a defensive coach

You trying to say McDermott is good in the playoffs and the qb is why they can’t get over the hump is psychopath stuff

It's not about one game. If Buffalo had won any of the AFC Championship games they have lost with Allen at quarterback McDermott would still have his job.

So they fire McDermott but keep (and promote) Beane.

You are extremely sensitive.

I already told you I though the move was an emotional decision and I'm not convinced it's the right decision.

Having said that, based on your assessment, I just threw out a few names that I think would fit the bill.

Those are not the only two choices

What it seems is actually the case based on this report from Ian Rappoport is that McDermott didn’t think the team was talented enough while ownership disagreed.

The Bills never sniff the playoffs without him.

He's played in 15 playoff games. 29 TDs and 6 INTs. Sure let's blame him.

Its “emotional” to think this move is about one singular game or even one singular season/team

It’s the totality of 8 seasons , not 1. I’m not sure why you or others view McDermott, someone who never has even brought a team to the SB as an emotional firing, but no mention of Harbaugh or Tomlin in the same light

The emotion of liking McDermott so much kept him longer than he should have is more the reality

And in regards to the GM, maybe he should be fired too. But the Bills are looking to turn this around instantly. A new coach can do that. A new GM is more of a process of change, that isn’t what the bills are hoping for

Man, you want to argue so bad. I understand your position. I’ve accepted it and offered 3 available guys that would seemingly give you, the Bills fan, what you think is needed.

I think the talent is lacking. I think your complaints about the defense is in large part a result of that lack of talent. But I also see a lack of talent on the offense.

You are assuming that a coach can fix it. I’m not convinced. The most likely scenario is that they continue to lose late in the year.

I think over the last 6 seasons the defense has had enough talent to not put together horrific playoff performances on multiple occasions

This particular year the talent was worse. That isn’t the same for previous years

Over the entire life of McDermott I have no confidence he could ever be the guy that coaches a defense capable of winning

Fans always assume firing the coach solves all problems because accepting the reality that it’s a multi year rebuild is much harder to swallow.

I don’t know what the Bills cap situation is. That’s important.

Just heard on tv that the Bills have drafted only 2 pro bowlers since Allen.

I think it’s fitting he assumed McDermott is an offensive coach. Speaks volumes on the bills
