Oh, and as far as this game....
McNeese was intimidated/deer in the headlights considering who they were playing and being a nationally televised game, IMO.
The 1st half was abysmal and it was painfully obvious they were out of their element.

Why was the game in Lake Charles ? Obviously higher seeded Dayton's game was on the road due to the 'First Four'.
What was going on on Chestnut Hill ?

Probably not much. But that's still probably more interesting than a BC NIT game. They were probably worried no one would show up.

They never said the reason ? An 8 on the road vs a 1 is rather odd.

BC's building was not available.

watched it on TV. Too bad McNeese didn't come to play in the 1st half. They tried to make it interesting in the 2nd. Good crowd for TV too. I think a home NIT game does more for them in the long run that an away 16th seed NCAA game. Guess we'll see.

just like dayton having to play on the road because their building was being used for the first four. i remember kentucky having to play in their old gym a couple years ago when they were in the nit because rupp was booked for something else.

i think all the smaller conferences should host if possible in the NIT... makes it more interesting
