I would have said an 8 at first when all the shite went down, but they have proven they aren't near what we thought they'd be without Dominic James. They've played MUCH better than expected, avoiding the freefall most anticipated.
Ohio State is right on the 8/9 line. Beating Wisconsin doesn't raise you any higher. It keeps you firm in the tournament, which is all you were trying to accomplish yesterday.

Lunardi is a fraud. Has Penn State as his first team out, but then has them as an 11 seed. New Mexico? Out, but a 12 on the board.

Have you looked at them the last 3 weeks? They've lost 5 of their last 6. I know that this is without James but who cares; this is the team that the tournament is getting. They should be a 7 tops and more likely an 8.

And they could well end up at 7. The weekend is not over yet. But high level compared to what we expected when James went down? Yes. Lost on a buzzer-beater to Nova, OT to Syracuse, by 4 to Louisville.

I think right now, we're around a 9. Beat MSU, move to a 7. Beat Purdue/Illinois, move to a 6. That's probably the highest I see us getting. Maybe a 5, but I really doubt it.
