A really good college team MAY have 4-5 guys make it to AA and beyond whereas an AA team is obviously made up of entirely AA players.

it's like when people say 'the really good college team at the moment' could beat 'the really bad NFL team'. It's so stupid it makes my head hurt.

I think that definitely used to be the case but now more and more teams are making their young guys go through triple a.

There's still gonna be a lot of guys who make the jump from aa to the bigs, but for the most part aaa is necessary

yeah .. i have seen a little bump up in talent the last few years at the zephyr games ... still some rehabbers and 36 years olds under ridiculous contracts with the big club .. but i am seeing more young players ... about 7 or 8 years ago ?? shite .. you were talking club med ..

two seasons ago, the 0-16 detroit lions would have beaten the absolute crap out of the florida gators ... people just don't get it .. yeah .. the duke blue devils would hang with the celtics, suns, or lakers ..

yeah it's a weird level man. My first time through when I was younger was awful. A lot of older guys who were grizzled and bitter. This year I'm the older guy and I'm surrounded by a lot of young guys.

Some years there's tons of talent, other years it's just a lot of guys fighting to stay alive.

i guess that would be like if you got suspended or something but it's not really a term that's used much

i'm hurt right now and need to rehab in az this week, otherwise i'd be in NO this weekend

yeah, it seems to change every few years.

10-12 years ago, the best prospects would have to go through AAA

then around 2001 or so, it seemed a lot of players made the jump from AA.

now it seems like they are sending big prospects through AAA again

kinda weird

same injury...not bad luck really, just something about the way I throw the ball that keeps stressing this one area in my arm. It's a huge pain in the arse

Have you been trying to work on a new motion? How long has it been nagging you? Ever since you went to normal starting rotation instead of b ullpen?

The last S.I. had a little snippet about you being injured, but didn't go into any details. It was in an article about Nolan wanting his starting pitchers to go deeper in their starts.

yeah basically a new motion. Have to find someway to change what I've been doing. It's tough since I'm in uncharted waters so it's just kinda guesswork at this point.

I think it is probably because he is on the 40 man roster, but not on the 25 man active roster.
