I've been saying this for a few years. Right now players are getting paid based on the connection to colleges and the nostalgia it evokes. That is fading quickly as it's becoming obvious the player has no allegiance to the school or fan base. They're mercenaries that change schools 3-4 times in a 4 year span and it will eventually hurt ratings/profitability.
Make these players sign three year contracts, establish a salary cap and create anti-tampering rules. It's the only way forward.

if thats what it takes to compete than all the posters on the rant whining about basketball need to stfu
LSU absolutely doesnt need to spend anywhere close to 3 for any player and not more than 5 mill overall. put that money into football and baseball and let basketball suck. nobody cares about that anyways.
