Multiple #1 seeds have come out of the same conference many times. I remember one year (2009 maybe?) when UConn, Pitt, and Louisville were all #1 seeds out of the Big East.

Then they aren’t the best team if they lose games rest of the way. It’s just my opinion you should have to win your league or tournament to be a 1 seed.

2009 was probably one of most controversial fields also. If you remember all the at larges came from teams that were power and I believe Pitt lost fo Nova and the rankings going in had UNC Michigan St Memphis and Louisville as top 4

Agreed. I haven't gotten super interested in the season, even with Michigan's play (plus, it's fun around here when Sparty plays well) because I figured Dook would get healthy, gel, and dominate at the end.
