REC doing work.....
All facetious rhetoric aside.
Ultimately, the playoff being mostly a collection of the same 4 teams year in and out will turn CFB into a regional game. It will be primarily an SEC tournament/ jamboree with tOSU.

Go look at 2014 again. Okie st OU may have turned that one. OSU ended up with more ranked wins with OU being upset by okie st.

Cincinnati’s SOS is ranked 94th of 130 teams in college football.

The committee looks at each team and decides if they could beat the other teams head to head. They couldn’t beat any of the teams ranked ahead of them, that’s why they are 6th.

I don’t have access to the polls from that last week, but take your word that is the case.

There are a lot of factors that can be used. One that stands out very strongly to me is that

Ohio State lost by 14 points at home to 6-6 Va Tech.

TCU’s only loss was a 3-pt game at Baylor who kicked a FG as time expired.

Baylor lost the next week on the road at Left Virginia (7-5 regular season), by the same 14 point margin.

So Ohio State loss was the only one of the three at home, and was to the worst team of the three respective opponents. They should have been the first team eliminated between TCU, Baylor and themselves.
